The EPIC 4020 x 3.0mm Under Driven Hydraulic Guillotine was designed and manufactured in the company's NSW workshop. UNIQUE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM TO PREVENT MACHINE TWIST

The unique hydraulic system on EPIC’s under-driven guillotines was designed and manufactured by EPIC to prevent the frame from twisting when overloaded. The sturdy construction and proven design will provide clean accurate cuts over the long life of the machine.

When cutting material heavier than the rated capacity on a standard guillotine with a torsion bar system, the torsion bar will transfer the load to the opposite side and cause the machine to twist before the relief valve has time to react. This twisting can change the gap between the blades leading to ragged cuts or folds in the material that can chip the blades.

With EPIC guillotines, if an operator attempts to cut over capacity then both sides of the guillotine will cease travelling immediately. This prevents twisting and extends the life of the machine.

TOP BEAM GUIDED BY FULLY MACHINED HEAVY-DUTY SLIDES

The top beam on EPIC’s under driven guillotines is guided by fully machined heavy-duty slides. The slides are brass lined to provide an excellent cut and long life. The slides are fully adjustable to allow for regrinds, and have lubrication points.

HYDRAULIC DOUBLE-ACTING CLAMP CYLINDERS

Double-acting clamp cylinders lift the clamp bar off the sheared material allowing the top blade to push the material away as it returns to the top position.

BAR TABLE WITH BALL TRANSFERS FOR DELICATE WORK

The guillotine is fitted with EPIC’s unique bar table and ball transfers, allowing for flat plates to be secured for stainless and delicate sheet work.

OPTIONAL VARIABLE RAKE ADJUSTMENT

EPIC’S variable rake adjustment supports cutting light gauge material with a faster stroke and minimal twist. Adjusting the rake reduces the distance the guillotine has to travel, thereby speeding up the stroke.
